Just make a copy if you want to fiddle with it or the backing apps script for scraping.  When opening your own copy, you should see a "Scrape" menu to kick off scraping, but it won't overwrite anything.  You'll have to delete any plant or reference you want to get refetched.

Interesting data.  Were the KT06 and KT23 getting overripe also? 

How mild is your weather?  Our location is like this:


Gold Nugget, Kishu, and Shiranui taste great for us. Cara Cara and Moro remained overly sour, so those are being topworked.

I've seen unlabeled pink pineapples occasionally at the Torrance HMart and Gardena Ranch.  Tried it once, and seemed close enough to the official ones I've had, except less than 20 ea.  At HMart, they've been right next to the entrance in the refrigerated wall units.

My vine flowered late last year but I did not try hand pollination on it since I didn't think the fruit would finish before winter anyways, but nothing even set.  Trying manually with edulis pollen this year.  Was planning to use quadrangularis for pollination, but the vines didn't make it through the winter after planting them in the ground last year.  For yellow edulis, which requires manual, stage C is pretty guaranteed. Trying a little dab in the morning and the evening, just in case.  First flower was just a few days ago, so we'll see if the flowers start dropping or not pretty soon.  Going to have to look for new quad cuttings this year.

Good to know. I guess I'm not consistent enough, or thorough enough, in my irrigation.  I often see off-season bloom in our trees, including a Kishu.

Not saying this is it, but, water deprivation will cause citrus to rebloom.

Thanks for the heads up!  Found a box at India Food Mart in Culver City.  All the other boxes were pre-claimed, so I guess you have to pre-order with the guy and he'll call you when he gets the boxes in.



Most were quite green.  This was the most yellow, so we opened it up to try.  We've never tasted Kesar before, so no point of reference here.



It was very jelly, and sweet, and had papaya tones, so we felt like it was a bit overripe.  There was some resin, but the sweet mush seemed to overpower it.
So, we tried the next most ripe one, which was pretty green.  Forgot to snap a pic of the exterior, but you can see the skin outline.

Texture was better, but stem end was still mushed, so not sure if it was damaged or just ripened unevenly.  The nose, though, was very tart, with a full spectrum, in between.  My daughter and I actually preferred the tartness vs the sweeter resin at the other end.

Did Blacktail Mountain in a 40gal, next to a couple in-ground.  It's already a small melon, but the potted one came pretty close in size, but only 1 almost full size one, compared to 3 or so from the grounders.  Don't remember the bark-based substrate, but wasn't really trying to pre-optimize it when I started.  It just ended up taking too much patio space with the sprawl.  I've dreamt of vertical, but it does sound like a bit of work.

Good for 1 season, so you'll buy more next season   Store it properly, and it should last a long time (dry ferts at least).

Interesting!  I have several of those kinds of fruitlets.  Wasn't sure if they would coalesce into a normal fruit, since some are looking more merged together than others.  It's odd that they're so much bigger already than the "regular" ones.  I was thinking that those might become the seeded fruit vs the seedless?
