How do you know how current the Google Earth image is?
Here's a google earth pic ..
I am planning on making a trip down to Excalibur tomorrow for an Atemoya and I figured while I'm there I should pick up a banana as well. I would ideally like a dwarf variety of some kind that can stay under 6-8 feet 10 absolute maximum. I would like something that makes an excellent fruit and preferably one that fruits as often per year as possible. I don't know much about banana plants but all my research points only to the dwarf cavendish variety and Excalibur has several dwarf options so any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
Wish I had bought another one or two more.
The apricot looked interesting
Only six pitombas and we know where two are. Good luck on the new additions Dave
All of mine in the ground already
Didn't PIN release 'Cantaloupe' 'Orange Crush' and some other fruity sounding named jackfruit within the past couple years? For the 2015 sale, PIN brought those 2 and two others (can't remember their names) up. Didn't bring any of them last year.
Wouldn't it be super-useful if we could come up with a chart listing all the Zill introductions of the last few years, starting with Lemon Zest and Sweet Tart, and include fruit information, tree information, ripening season for South Florida, and a rating of 1 to 5 stars? You know, all-the-information-in-one-place kind of chart.Well there is this thread.
I search for a while and found another site for Dates and Figs u can also buy by the 15lb box.Or here; http://www.dateland.com/

That's a box of gold at today's retail prices!Or a 2.5 gallon zip-loc bag of dried dragon fruit.
DM How do you keep them so clean? Do you have a spray program?
I have weeds coming through, especially those grass blades which connect to each other through the white root network running through mulch. It almost seems like a waste of time to even try and pull weeds since they come back within a week or two at most. How do we stop weeds here in FL? Our trees don't grow fast enough to shade them out.
