There are leaves above the first marcot. Wont that help? Or can I marcot above the rooted portion? I am thinking that if I have two sets of roots one above the other, the plant will be better anchored. The mother plant which is a marcotted one tilts every time there is rain with heavy winds.

This is one lemon tree I have marcotted. Now I am thinking, is it possible to form another set of roots a foot down? Does anyone have any experience doing this. This tree gives me lemon 365 days in a year.

How difficult is it to marcot rambutan? I have a very good quality fruit rambutan tree and I would like to have a few more of the same. My efforts at grafting have all been failures and now I am thinking of marcoting. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Wrap the split tightly with some grafting tape, as you would doing a cleft graft. The split will heal in a couple of months. After a month check  if the taping is too tight. If too tight, remove the tape and retape so that the pressure is released.

Depends on which Coffee; Robusta ripens all at the same time while Arabica ripens one berry at a time. Harvest the ripe, red berries and put then in the Sun to dry. Once they make a rustling sound when when handled, they have to be hulled to get the beans out. A food processor used at low speed can do it. Separate the husk from the beans.
