raja puri is the best ive tried.

177
no we dont

178
Pine island has them. We also carry them at ECHO in nfm

179
Black Sapote and Canistel.

180
I was under the impression all aloe veras are the same and all the stockton, miller etc. was marketing.

181
Well, they offer "Delicious Tropical Pond Apple Trees"

182
Phil just stick some duct tape outside around the lip of the pot then buy some markers made for duct tape. I find it easier to label things this way - saves me losing labels when I go klutz and accidentally knock over things. Shrubs and trees- cover an old CD with duct tape then write on it.  :D  the oversized round label tends to look annoying but I get more space to write info - like care instructions - watering preferences, preferred fert mix etc

Ive tried this and the duct tape always gets wet and comes off, this is why I have so many mystery mango seedlings.

What is lisesque? I was. Just told that it is an Elly atemoya. A really old type apparently.

Not necessarily very old, it was planted in 1996.

This is the only description i could find.

'Elly' is very productive like 'Geffner' but produces earlier. It has a creamy pear texture softer than 'Geffner's' firmer texture.

I haven't tried them all but i really like tainung. sounds similar to the strawberry, very sweet no musk.

we have one at echo in north fort myers. I think its Pachira insignis from what Ive read here. Its seems to go thru our winters without a problem. I like the way they taste, the one here is planted next to a macadamia that gets attacked by squirrels every year, they don't seem to bother the Malabar chestnut.

The ones I got to try tasted like lychee with the musky longan  flavor as well. Also not as much flesh because of the bigger seed. good lychees are much much better

So I spoke with some people here they said that they remember Hopkins taking budwood from one of the trees in the lowlands area.  Those trees are all seedlings of NS1 and I'm assuming that's what they are still propagating at Hopkins. We do not carry anything in our nursery called "ECHO".  Ive seen the echo jackfruit and a echo sweet barbados cherry listed on other sites before but as far as i know those could have originated from here but other nurseries gave them the echo name.

Expedition produces great tasting green fruit 24-32ozs  with characteristics of a Guatemalan avocado.  Fruits Nov-Jan it can have a tendency to bear alternately the trees are hardy to around 26 degrees.

can anyone identify this for us. i was told it came from the Kampong house but i have no other info on it.

196
yeah i cant remember exactly what he said but i know it was less than 10%

197
Ive heard out of 100 a few (a little less than 10 percent) can fruit in one year.

Please do tell where these figures came from (from those numbers that would be a high percentage which is not only highly unlikely but actually not to be believed).  There is no way a 1 year old jackfruit tree (seedling or grafted) could support a mature fruit.

That's what i was told at Fruitscapes. I dont see why they would make that up its not like they were trying to sell me jackfruit seeds. I also saw a very short tree holding a single fruit in Walter Zills front yard.
