Can You Fruit Soursop, Star Apple, And Ilama In Container?
« on: February 10, 2018, 01:04:16 PM »
Hello everyone,

Can you fruit soursop, star apple, ilama, and santol in container? I just saw a YouTube's video of this one player growing these fruit trees in container. I am curious if these can fruit. His trees are pretty big and tall. He's from Orange County, CA.
On another video, he said that sapodilla require hand pollination. Is that true? Thanks.

I can attest to Silas Woods and Alano sapodilla not requiring hand pollination. Both are fruiting for me, with no hand pollination.

The "squeez" method works IMO. I've done it to my donated 8ft sapodilla that hadn't ever fruited and now has a dozen fruits currently. The video poster has an amazing healthy and beautiful collection. I appreciate the dedication to the amount of light, plant placements, and overall organization he/she has...just so enjoyable/and envious at times as well! Chris

Nice big soursop in the pot in the video. I am trying to grow a soursop in a container also, mine is still young but this gives me hope.
