New addition
« on: October 29, 2018, 02:31:54 PM »
Found this gem at a local nursery. 10 gallon Ray Ruby grapefruit. I root pruned and transplanted it. Only thing is some gashes in the rootstock. Anything I should do for the gash or leave it?

Looks really nice.

Is that the knockoff rootmaker roll material?  How does it hold up?  I saw it years ago when it was only available on Alibaba and it wasn’t straightforward to order direct.  Where’d you find it?

I have been using the air pots for a few years. I can't remember where I bought them online.
I did a web search and found them at htgsupply.com
They look like they are priced around what i remember that I paid for mine.

Yup its an airpot. I almost use them exclusively now for larger trees. Aside from stopping circling roots they also make transplanting SUPER EASY! it's a nicely shaped 10 gallon tree. I transplanted right away because it was rootbound and also to remove the neonic contaminated soil.
