I am blocked from uploading pictures from different devices by GoDaddy Security and would have started a few threads lately if I could upload pics. It advises...Access Denied - GoDaddy Website Firewall.
The reason given is........ Exploit attempt denied by virtual patching. Is anyone else experiencing this when they try to upload pictures?

I am able to add images from the link below the text box, instead of the one above it.

Bear with us folks.  I am trying to get to the bottom of all of this.  We will likely unwind the Godaddy stuff shortly.

If the forum was upgraded, rather than patched, it would have lost any mods. Not sure a plugin is considered a mod, but it's likely if it was lost after an upgrade.

This thread is getting down-right geeky  :D

As someone who works in information security consulting, specifically, penetration testing this thread was an interesting overlap into my day-to-day convos..

I had quite a few international folks reach out to me on Facebook.  They were unable to log in.  I made some changes this morning that will hopefully allow them in.  If you receive communication from anyone that is unable to log in please message me their username so I can correct the issue!

That is a beauty.

I was banned but was able to use a proxy to navigate. It seems to be back to normal now.

I have to use VPN to send a PM or post on a forum. If I try to do this from the Russian IP I see this message.

LOL I just signed up for a security plan from GoDaddy hosting at a hefty cost.

The site updates look amazing. Appreciate the SSL integration.
Perhaps for the next certificate renewal you can consider https://letsencrypt.org/ for a free SSL integration. Thanks for all the work done to maintain this website. Cheers.

Does SMF/Godaddy have the ability to auto renew letsencrypt certs every 90 days?

For non critical (PII etc) securing the login credentials,  its the inexpensive<free> solution.  Digicert is best on the other end if paranoid.

Wanted to post to this already existing topic rather than starting a new one. I have tried multiple ways to post images but wasn't able to. Tried uploading to postimages website directly and still no success. Cleared all caches from browsing history still nothing. Tried multiple browsers and tried from phone instead of computer and still could not. Could it be specific forum profile issue or any other members also having similar problem? This never happened before the new forum website update. Any tricks to help with this issue ?

Are you using the https://postimages.org/ site? The images i uploaded from other hosts didn't show but from this one did.

Thank you moderators for doing this!  I'm relieved to not get any more warning messages from Firefox when I try to log in.
