Red jabo
« on: September 14, 2021, 12:10:40 AM »
I have 2 six year old Red jabo plants in 12 gal pots which have been fruiting well.  I have been noticing for some time, there are no new leaves on both, even though flowers have set fruits. Is it because they are root bound? What are the signs of root bound trees? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure how big your trees are? My red jabos are in 25 gallon pots and do seem to
push new leaves continuously. I have had really good results planting some of my jabos
in the ground the past couple years. Depending on your soil and PH this might not work for you. If you
have room I would experiment planting some smaller reds and see? I would also up pot the
ones you have now.

The jabos are about 7 feet tall.
