Red Jaboticaba seedling survived 70 days in the mail
« on: February 11, 2016, 07:23:46 PM »
Just had a small red jaboticaba seedling that was returned to me by USPS ...it's still alive after 70 days in the mail!

The only damage was leaf loss...all the branches are still green

I'm going to plant it tomorrow..this tree deserves some TLC.

Some plants refuse to die no matter how much they are abused, mistreated, or neglected.

Here are some embarrassing stories of neglect on my part and amazing survival.  I had some bagged jakfruits and sapodillas with failed grafts that I ignored for 10 months and they are still alive with no watering.  I found them this weekend under a plant table in my shade house that I had to tear down due to legs buckling from rotting wood.  Under my shaded hoop house, I have a gold finger banana growing out a bottom side drain hole of a 10" pot that is totally upside-down.  It is about a foot tall.  I have no idea how the pot got totally upside-down or how it is getting enough water to survive.

my customer gave me an address that's undeliverable.
