Pouteria torta cold tolerance?

Have always heard that this is the hardiest of Pouteria but never see any actual comment on the hardiness, hope someone could chime in?

These did not do well for in moderate coastal temps.
Lows in the 30ís in winter and highs in the 70ís and 80ís in the summer.
I think they would go in South Florida where Abiu may not, but thatís about it, No CA or anywhere else in the lesser lands.

I'm in the same area as bush2beach. Had mine in hoop houses ND they just refused to grow and ultimately just all died after years of being tortured

Itís a big part of the equation. You get more heat units too so it could get to just trying to figure out how to get through winter without root rot.
A hydro heated concrete pad would be fun to work with, never seen it used for plants yet

guess my only hope is the lack of humidity killed your guys then
