thinning out garcinia fruit

Do any of you thin out garcinia intermedia fruit?  Would this result in larger fruit.  Can this be done at any time during fruiting?  There is always so much fruit.

If you want larger fruits I would suggest Garcinia Brasiliensis.

Intermedia fruit size is pretty trivial on every plant I've seen.

I took a picture this morning.
I'm not sure how big the fruit on brasiliensis get but I have quite a few that are around 1 inch in diameter.

O wow, that's getting into Georgia peach sizes (or Glenn mangos if they are oblong).

Now I need it, I'll keep my eye out for some scions.

Thin early, then there is less energy spent of fruits your gonna chop of anyway.
It's very likely size will be greater.

I know there's a whole load of confusion on naming garcinias.
Can someone clear up the whole intermedia and brasiliensis confusion?
According to Adam, intermedia does not exist, and the different types of lemon drop type garcinias are just different selections (orange or yellow fruit, nipple or no nipple)
I'd like to hear the other side to the story if possible.

Two of my trees have round fruit, one of my trees has both round and nipple fruit.  It also seems like every branch has clusters of fruit, each cluster has 6 to 8 fruit.  I am thinking it will be easier to thin branches then fruit, especially as there are a lot of branches crossing.  Comments appreciated!
I would love to see a garcinia with fruit 3-4 inches!!!!!
