Is this a fruit tree?
« on: June 01, 2013, 08:11:30 AM »
Friend bought a property and I came over to ID the trees.  I first thought this was citrus, then black sapote, then annona, then I saw the fruit and I backed off and said IDK.

Any help? thanks.

Thanks. One of my guesses was Black Sapote.  So thanks for the guess.

I google imaged the flowers and it does look like it.

I looks like Nispero to me.  I think they also call it Sapote in South America and Jamaicans call it nasberry(?).  I have a small tree and the leaves look alike :).

Those look to be nice fat female black sapote flowers.
