how/when to separate longan seedlings?

It would be right to use a spoon? we are in autumn here and the plants were in full sun...

I had a bunch of longan seedlings growing in the same pot, and they were about twice that size.

I separate the longans when they are 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) tall. They are not delicate at all. If they are in full sun then when you separate them put them in shade for a couple of days till their roots get readjusted. That way you don't give them transplant shock.
