Cecropia in FL
« on: April 18, 2022, 05:20:34 PM »
I'm just curious of people's experiences growing it in FL. I've had two so far both die. One from a flood. The other was a young one that died in the cold this year.

I'm just curious of other people's growing experience. Does it grow well for you? Both of mine seemed to grow very slow when they were alive.

Echo farms in ft Myers has a 30' one. They said it got knocked down in Irma and they pulled it with a tractor to get it somewhat vertical again. That was late fall last year so im not sure how it faired during the frost. I've never grown it but would be a cool plant to add.
