This year I went with slow release for my younger trees. I used Multicote 8
The NPK ratio is 18-5-12
I applied it a week ago. I was planning on hitting them again in May with the
same fertilizer. I also foliar spray with Kelp frequently sometimes once a week
or every other week. And last I also foliar spray Bio Wash 25 once a month.

Pinewoodflats your trees are very yellow
The Seaweed helped my trees darken up when I started using it last year and
also stimulated growth

I cut 3/4 of the panicle off of each individual panicle this year and only
left a small amount. I will cut the remaining 1/4 of panicle off April 1st
Hopefully the plants spent less energy on the flowers and are ready to
bust out with growth?

The two trees I put in the ground didn't do well in the Summer Florida sun.
I dug them up and put them back in pots in the shade and lost the big tree.
The smaller tree just started putting out new growth and looks like it will survive.
It sucks because the description said they love sun? I have had similar experiences
with other trees from Argentina and Brazil. June and July sun is intense.

I am starting to get fresh seeds now

I have fresh restinga and sabara jabo seeds,
The cedar bay cherries are starting to ripen if I can beat the birds to the fruit.
I also have some Florida pistachio seeds available. The tree has several different
common names. The genus is Jatropha and the species is curcas
It is listed as toxic but my tree is a 3rd generation seedling and is the non toxic type.
It tastes like a large sunflower seed. The seeds are limited this year and are $2 each

I try to grow cherry tomatoes every year. I have 5-6 different kinds.
I start seeds in August and usually have tomatoes by Thanksgiving and I usually start
more around October to have fresh plants that get me through April.
I usually can give a baggie or two away everyday. I give them to people like the
coffee shop that gives me their grounds and the cricket farm that gives me their
frass and the post office people who lose my shipments. I probably give them to
50 different people and usually puts a smile on their face when they get a baggie
full of different cherries.
I also try to grow hot peppers year round. My goal is to have fresh peppers every day
of the year. Usually I end up with too many or none on the bushes. I have a friend who has
a pepper plant that is 4 years old that I call Fat tabasco. It is not a super hot but it
almost always has a handful of peppers I can snatch. She doesn't like the peppers.
Usually my pepper plants burn out after a season and I get more if I keep starting fresh
plants.
And last I grow a couple types of yard long beans. One is green and the other is purple.
It's nice because  you can grow them all Summer here in Florida. I like to eat the younger beans
raw more than anything. I have 20 gal squat pots and I put a trellis in the pot that is 5'.
I put around a dozen plants per pot and it works out

Unfortunately there is going to be allot of information this season to learn from.
I hope last night was the worst night?
My trees have been stuck in mid bloom for going on a month now if not longer,
In the past it seems worse when we are warm and then get hit with a nasty couple
nights. I am glad my trees were in mid bloom and not full bloom but we shall see

I don't like coconut and I like the coconut flavored mangos. They remind me
more of pina colada than coconut
The most important thing is that you like the flavor. I would consider
eating the mangos first before you decide which one to plant. Allot of people
rave about Lemon zest and I don't care for it. The Angie is also similar to Carrie which you already have.
I have over 20 different types and still feel like I could add a couple more.
It never ends

Hi,

Looking for red flesh custard apple plant. I grew up eating the green ones and didn't know there were red flesh varieties. Now that i know, i want to have/grow one.
I came across Big Red, Fernandez, San Pablo varieties when searching across the forum. There may be others and i'm open about trying any of them. Out of stock in LaraFarms.

Thanks

I have seeds available from this type of fruit. The tree came from Hopkins
They called it Red Bullock

Nice, achetadomestica! I believe where you're at gets colder than my location -- have you done anything for winter protection? One of the seeds I got from you already sprouted.

I was 39F one night this year so far
I think we are close to the same temps?
I haven't had to protect anything so far this Winter

I see bees on the flowers
