Hi Bill
My trees don't look alive. None of them has a green graft. it looks like they were scratched to check if the grafts were still alive before they were shipped. I wish you sent me at least one alive tree...
Do you think I had time to scratch the trees, pick up the dead ones and send them to you? Even if I had time, why I needed to do that to you?
On 1/19 night, first I was busy in charging local pick up for the bay area, elouicious(Daniel) was also helping the packaging, then after 10:30 pm, I started to assort the trees for LA and San Diego folks in 5 packages, some people wanted me pack in separate bags, this took extra time in preparation. Around 1 AM, I started to work on the packages for next day's shipment till 4:30 am. I slept less than two hours, and at 7:00 am, packed up two more boxes, then rushed to the bus stop for the package delivery in San Jose. After dropping the 5 boxed in the bus heading down to LA, I moved to a nearby post office for the first round of shipment for FL and Hawaii folks. Then I rushed back to home for other people's local pick up.
I knew potentially lots of complaints may come up again including the pests issue. That's why before Pouya and I left the USDA office, I double checked with USDA person who was in charge of releasing our trees, she said no pests were found in the inspection.
I truly feel sorry about the trees you received, if there is a next round, I will pick the best trees for you.
