Must not be enough Zill 40-26 out there fruiting. I planted a 3 gallon, guess I'll have to see for myself. So far its growth habit is very similar to Julie.

Zill 40-26 from this morning.
If this variety proves to be as tasty as Alex from Tropical Acres Farm says, I'm probably not sharing any.

That's disappointing to hear. Anthracnose destroying the bloom?

Flowers well, just wont hold fruit to maturity from what has been reported.

Your tree is a wee little lad. Push it with a go-go juice until you see it's pushing then stop. When you get it ready for your scaffolding pruning wait till it's pushing then graft onto your most vigorous trees. If it doesn't hold fruit on those grafts after two or three seasons then I would say there's an issue. If anthrachnose is a concern first sign of Bloom hit it with the big guns frack 11plus# for two applications then rotate to sulfur. I start spraying in March  to systemically clean the trees before rainy season. After fruit set gets the size of your thumb I stopped spraying until after rainy season. My fruit is very clean that may not be the case in South Florida because they have very favorable conditions for  anthrachnose. It's just my opinion I don't give up be patient use that tree to graft on to others until you're fully convinced it's a lost cause.

I've had it multi grafted on one of my trees for around 4 years now.
From what I've seen, slower than a Pickering.
Flowers easy but doesn't hold fruit that well. At least this far west.
I'm having similar experiences with my pina colada

This is what had me pull this one. We are similar in distance from the ocean.

Member of my unofficial Co-op had the I wantu's for 40-26. Got him some budwood but didn't take. From what I read on this forum decided to get him a Marco from Truly tropical Chris.Figure that was a better bet

I had some bunches for the first time this year.I liked the fruit but it is only about 8 oz fruit which is okay for me.A lucky few had the chance to buy it from me.Nice orangey overtone and creamy. There was an early crop and a later crop on the fruiting tree.I had some uneven ripening on the later crop.Might be the tree is being pushed hard by a large rootstock as i topworked a big old tree.

I've been trying to get 40-26 tree or scions for a while.  Tropical Acres has neither, Lara Farms never heard of it, D's fruit Trees is pending.  Not a lot of this around for now.  Let me know if anyone can point me in the right direction to get scions or a tree.  Thanks
Pretty new to fruit growing but I am full steam ahead and getting much better.

As a certified coco-NUT this Zill 40-26 is one I'm thinking about growing. I haven't had any luck so far finding a tree.

Alex at Tropical Acres said that they don't have any more 40-26 budwood to graft more trees for the next round, so it sounds like I will have to wait a while to get this one. They are grafting a batch, but it's already sold out.

It's a very slow tree, slower than Julie in our growing conditions.
