I'm on the hunt for jaboticaba, Eugenia, Pouteria, Passiflora, and annona fruits (like the fruit part), if you have any to spare, lemme know!  I'm also looking for any plants that could bear fruit soon :)

Thing looks to be greater than 50% seed content. All for collecting oddball stuff, but sometimes fall back to "I should focus on the known good stuff first" before walking down that road. Especially in your situation growing indoor / greenhouse only.

I wish that they had a photo of the inside of the second one, it was mentioned that it had a "great seed to flesh ratio" but I'm taking that with a grain of salt. the chocoana does look very seedy, but at least it maybe makes up for that in fruit size

Yep lots of random seedy annonas
Lot of talk of foreste one being a Montana variant

In terms of annonas,
The common ones are the best
There’s some good tasting ones that are rare but hard to grow
Like cerrado types

I would highly recommend you to focus on common ones like rollinia
Cherimoya
Custard apple
Sugar apple etc
Those are tried and true

Check out my
Video tasting of Annona emarginata😂

I wondered if it was a Montana varient, the skin looks very similar.

of those cerrado ones I would like to try my hand at monticola, dioica, crassiflora, and coriacea at some point but I don't think I'm skilled enough yet

i got a bunch of cherimoya seedlings I'm planning on grafting up this spring with the common annonas

i saw your video yesterday! That poor little fruit! I'm very glad I never got any emarginata lol

That's exactly how I feel when I'm on a seed site looking at a new, unclassified sp. Should I get that new rare annona? But wait - I don't have cherimoya yet! LOL

Anyway, I've bought an Annona sp. Gigante Amazonica seed, just waiting for it to be sent. I have been waiting over a month now...  :'(

Chocoana hasn't sprouted for me, it's been about 2 months. I'm growing these among others, all are 6-18 months:

Annona   sp. Annona sp Gigante da Floresta Amazônica
Annona   aff. coriaceae "Maranhão Ultra Orange"
Annona   aff. coriaceae "Gigante de Maranhao"
Annona   sp Diminuta   (This may just be Annona deminuta?)
Annona   aff muricata   Sweet Columbia
Annona   Nítida    Pera

Both the aff coriaceae grow better than regular coriacea and sp. Gigante de Maranhao grows very very well. As well as A. reticulata, with no winter leaf loss/necrosis yet, might be evergreen. A. sp. diminuta and nitida also growing decent, the rest are either slow, cold sensitive, chlorosis susceptible, but hanging in there. I can get some pictures if anyone is interested.

What kind of A. reticulata do you have? I'm growing a bunch of seedlings hoping one or two can withstand lower temperature
