Seeds received. None were germinated which is a good thing for these couple hot days in the mail. I put some in pots and some directly in the ground. Thanks Frank!

Did the mother tree's fruit have crisp orange flesh?

I think they might be fruit from a seedling grown from seeds you sent to Florida years ago.

I am sure it is and just wondering if it stayed like its mother.

Mike,

I just clicked the link in FLNatives post and page 4 shows a pic of the fruit: https://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=18880.75

Does that look like the original Amber?

Hi Mike, sorry I missed your post. Here is another picture of the fruit along with some cleaned.

Yes, seedling tree with fruit texture crisp or crunchy.

Looks pretty close to its mother except her fruit were more orange. There may have been some outcrossing to J33. Wow over 10 years ago on this site that seeds were exchanged. At that time I sent lots of seeds to Florida of starapples, artocarpus, abiu etc than was available at that time.

Thanks again for introducing this great jackfruit. And of course, for sharing your vast knowledge of fruit trees.

This photo shows more color.

This photo shows one with the rounder shape like I've seen in your photos.

I got this seedling from FlNative after my original Amber got crushed from a storm. So it’s a seedling of a seedling of Amber. I have since given out seedlings and I know one is flowering now. The fruits on this tree never get over 5lbs.

Seeds were packaged nicely and arrived in great condition with a few beginning to germinate. Fast shipping and very fresh. Thank you for the outstanding transaction Frank and for making your seeds available to the TFF. I’ll keep you posted with updates. 😃
