Yes.  I would like to see photos.

At time of grafting the FD rootstock was 2.5 years old and the sour orange about 1.25 years old.  Growth between the 2 is similar.  The soil is out of my compost pile pine bark mulch.  I did not screen for size.  Sour orange rootstock is on the slow growing side.  My original and only Valentine got sick and I did an emergency graft to save the cultivar and I think the valentine is 6 months younger than listed above.

I have a valentine pomelo on sour orange that I grafted 6-22-2021.  Bud expansion by august.

I have a Fukushu on flying dragon grafted 6-22-2021 and bud started growing by 0ctober.

My hands shake too.  I t-Bud but I leave the leaf on so I can manipulate the bud into position.  I wrap the graft above and below then cut the leaf off and cover.

The fruits have to ripen before first hard frost regardless of the tree's capability.

Mine is sweet and shaped like an icicle.

I have the same Poblem.  If it weren't for watersprouts my tree  would not grow

Another chunk of fertilizer.

This is the only tree that could be lifted by its root.  The other mi8ght break off.

Tree is now outside for the summer.
