Sounds as hard to grow citrus in florida as it is to grow here in Cincinnasti, Ohio

Citrus General Discussion / Re: Trifoliate graft incompatibilities?
« on: November 19, 2020, 09:17:21 PM »
Considering that FD to be ready for grafting takes 3 years, and a grafted tree to reach maturity, good production and quality fruit 6-7 years, I would say a life span of 15 years it is not a good return on investment.
What about Poncirus Trifoliata instead of Flying dragon for root stock and tree life expectancy vs time to start producing.  My flying dragons were 19 months old at grafting time.

Citrus Buy, Sell, & Trade / Re: Grand Frost Lemon

Why not buy a GF tree grafted to PT or FD.  How does GF lemon compare to a Harvey lemon, taste, or cold hardiness.

Both greenhouses  can be vented into my house (solar heating).  I can also use my house to vent into the greenhouse.

New growth is always much lighter green or yellowish.  They will darken with maturity

I use a 5 foot 2 by 10 as a ramp to jump 16 inches to get in my house.

No  it would not work well for that.  You would need a barrel dolly for best results or a standard 2 wheeler dolly for next best.  They both have air filled tires that will give to let you roll over the front edge of each step. The worx cart tires are solid and would be very difficult on each step's front edge.

Thank you for all the nice and supportive comments guys.  I was running 1 success out of 50 tries.  I put away all the grafting tools, sterilized my fingers and fingernail and did everything with hands and razor blade.  I am running at about 1/3 success now.

Shoot is now 13 inches long.
