Preferably you’ve tasted 50 or more mango varieties. (Sadly I don’t qualify.)For me so far this year it has been Dwarf Hawaiian Carrie and Dot. With Coconut Cream Karen Michelle tied for 4th. I am coming down to South Florida next week so this may change. So far here in Central Florida I've only had a few pickering's. My sweet tart and orange sherbet aren't quite ready yet. 🙂Hence why tastes are so subjective and/or people get mesmerized by what others write. For instance, none of the five you mentioned would even make it near my top 5 or even 10....and of those five, only Karen Michelle is in my planted collection of 22 trees

GOAT is a shapeshifter that keeps changing, depending on what is good, properly ripened, and eaten at the right time.

I've never pretended to be in the same league as Rob. I've tasted at most 10% of what he has. You can put someone like Alex Salazar in the same league if you must. I don't like the game you're playing here.
Guava was great as well as Super Julie ,Seacrest,0-15, hell I can't pick 3 it depends on my mood!
Mangos--I am in on this too, but all this going on about mango differences reminds me how stereo aficionados used to go on about the best and ultimate equipment to buy, to listen to their vinyl, then CDs at the best. From the 1970s in through the 1990s.Wine snobs still do this today. I am not a wine snob, I am a mango snob. (sometimes)
You never told us your 3 or 4 favorites this yearIt's funny you mentioned pickering being average this year it's beenreally good at my place this year along with the heavy production.
For me, Year in, year out, considering I want different flavor profiles for my GOAT. Based only on taste and not considering productivity or disease resistance. Ignoring my run on sentences and incomplete sentences In no particular orderLemon ZestSweet TartE4Simon
Yes KM is very tropical. My wife says it’s worth planting for the tropical taste and size alone. I personally want to add another sugarloaf tree to my in ground collection OR a Pineapple Pleasure but PP raises lots of doubts like will it ever produce or should I plant something more productive in my Miami yard.
Notable mangoes I’ve never eaten: E4, M4, CC, Phoenix, Carrie, Cac, ZINC, OS, Guava, and most Indian varieties.
In this video Richard Campbell says what his favorite mangos are. OS is one of them. Starting at 9:45 minutes in. Then continue on to the end as he has a small mango tasting in the kitchen. And mentions other favorite mangoshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blS3c9q_C6Q

I can't imagine OS is a whole lot better. Correct me if I'm wrong (and here come the corrections)!
