3rd Annual Mango Mania
« on: March 29, 2025, 09:21:41 PM »
This is the week before the 2025 Mango Fest. I’ve never been but I am looking forward to going since it’s so close & been talking with Xain more lately. Figured I’d spread the word since a lot of people will be here for the Mango Fest

Xain is so cool!  8)  Thanks for letting us know.  No doubt Paul will be there with his camera.

The best $5 I've ever spent!  This was a stellar event.  Just the right size crowd even though it was located at the western fringe of West Palm Beach, more than 30 minutes from downtown.  Plenty of mango samples--15 to 20 varieties?--and no limit to how much you could sample.  A much better tasting in every respect than the 2024 Mango Fest.  I really liked Super Julie, O-15, and Ice Cream, but the best example of an average variety is always better than a poor sample of an outstanding variety.  There was other food to purchase and eat, as well.  Rob and family (great people) did an absolutely awesome job! ;D  Kudos.  The attendees were a mellow and polite group of people of all ages from infants to "old folks."  No pushing, shoving, rioting. ;)  And no, Paul N. did not show up to make a video.  Observing the Sabbath?  Forgive me for not taking pictures.  Next year I'd love to see (try) Orange Essence, USDA Himsagar, Cotton Candy, Sugarloaf, Fruit Punch, Fruit Cocktail, and Sunrise--to name a few--or any combination of those, and any Indian mango.

Wish I had seen this sooner! There's no shortage of Floridians looking to taste new mango varieties, so I hope they do this again next year.

It looks to be an annual event.
