Help. Me. Out
« on: September 27, 2024, 06:24:44 AM »
Bought a lot. Of coco. Coir
And. I'm. Left with a lot. Of it.
Bad stuff of. It. Is that I can't use it. For. My seedlings it lacks. Nutrients
Can do. Something with it. Like. Mixing. It with native soil. Or something like. And use it?!

Your in luck! I've been using coconut coir for a while, and it's worked quite well.
I've mixed it with 2 parts premium potting mix to 1 part coconut coir. Creates a good soil, that's light and holds water well.
I've also germinated seeds in coconut coir, my pouterias do really well in it. Not the best for annonas, though.

You can never have enough coco coir.  Mix it with peat moss.  Add fertilizer.  This is a problem I'd love to have.

But other then coco coir
Everything is expensive
But gets on my ears
Coco can be successful where I live since I tried out mango and it's thriving
Worth to. Mention I. Love in the north west of Algeria
We the same weather as south Spain
Maybe I will. Try to grow it

Mix in some decomposed granite, aged goat manure, biochar, and elemental sulfur.

Something like 60% coir, 20% crushed granite, 10% biochar 10% goat manure, 1% elemental sulfur. If you can't find or make the biochar then just add more crushed granite in its place.
