Your tree does have a lot of thorns, but as long as you get good tasting fruits it doesn't matter.
I've noticed a lot of seedling trees grow thorns more than the parent tree. My seedling pummelo which is a large tree now (18 ft tall) has great tasting fruits, much better tasting than the parent fruit, but it does have plenty of thorns. I cut the thorns off the branches where I will pick the fruits so I don't get stabbed doing it.
