Hello Everyone,
My name is Danny and I'm a 27yr old plant lover from Deep South Texas (Rio Grande Valley). I have been growing plants and trees since I was a little kid, and now have a food forest with pockets of butterfly/bee gardens. I love growing all sorts of edible fruits/plants.
I am currently looking for scions of any low chill deciduous and/or tropical fruit trees. I live in zone 10a and am looking for fruit varieties with 3-400 chill hours or less (however I will try those with higher chill as well). I am open to all sorts of fruit scions and/or rooted cuttings. I will gladly pay for postage or trade scions of my own.
NOTE: There is NO guarantee that my trees/scions are disease-free as I practice organic gardening and let Mother Nature do her thing. I do spray organic fungicides if I see an infection and prune out diseased tissue when spotted.
My main interests are:
-Adara rootstock (already rooted) (or any sweet cherry-compatible rootstock that isn’t a cherry rootstock)
-Capulin Cherry
-Escarpment Black Cherry
-Red Flesh Apples
-PawPaws (especially other species like parviflora, obovata, etc etc)
-Currants/Gooseberries
-Low Chill Cherry (sweet or sour/tart) such as Stella, Royal Crimson, Lapins, etc.
-Long Neck/Red Avocado
-Mangos
-Figs
-Tropical Fruit or deciduous fruit/berries that I do not have
Most deciduous trees are still dormant, but the peaches and nectarines are starting to wake up and flower. I can still find some scions that haven’t woken up yet.
Some of the trees I have growing are: many are large enough to take scions to offer for trade, but some are still too small. These will be in italics.
