those numbers are about right.

I've seen them survive temps close to 20F, but they die back to the ground like a guava...I've also seen damage at 28F...but nothing serious...as long as exposure is brief.  The tree is evergreen, but after hard freezes itt will act like it's deciduous, by shedding most of it's leaves.

We have had upper twenties for short periods with no leaf loss or other ill effects.

Oh, now I got it... so, it's a bit less cold hardy than a surinam cherry...
