Iv had a real hard time with the Eugenia burkartiana indoors! Havent been able to keep one healthy looking they all just cling to life or die. Could be my set up but I have a ton of other eugenias i have no problems with indoors , Id avoid this one for indoor growing unfortunately.

Prolly Beaurepaireana if I can remember correctly that's one of the only ones on your list that pops out with that fuzzy.

I just use a small paintbrush and brush the pollen around.

I love browsing through the insane peppers lol. Sweet versions of hot peppers are great then everyone will eat them, y'all are crazy eating some of them peppers haha. Always get great germ rates with Matt's seeds that make strong plants. Even more excited for spring now!!!!! Thanks matt!

Iv used mosquito bits in the past they work amazing. I usually make a tea with it then water I dont like seeing the nasty bits in my pots getting moldy, I doubt it's good mold lol.

use microbelift bmc

Yes bti is safe, and yes fungus gnats are potentially harmful especially with a severe infestation

best to get rid of them

I thought microbelift was for applications where it will be submerged in water, this will work in potted plants too vpm?

Add "echo sweet" to the list! Only one iv had but man are they good! I'll fight someone for the last fruit on my tree lol.

Iv got my sabara in I wanna say a 5gal (seed grown) stands about 5 ft with the pot and it flowered for a year or 2 and just made its first fruits this year. I live in buffalo ny its 100% doable for us living in less than ideal climates. Just gotta want it enough.

I'd say your numbers are on par for perfect conditions with no hiccups along the way. Most of us usually see the higher estimates . My 2 grimals were right around 7 years to flower , reds  ~4 years and escarlate ~ 3 .

Very good deals! If anyone heads over to gonzos place and wants to grab that variegated shampoo ginger and ship it to me I'll be eternally greatful! Lol

Yellow jabo is alittle over 3yrs vexator is a solid 4 yrs old just kept them small the polpa rosea is alittle over a year old after the graft took. The dasyblasta has flowered multiple times and made a fruit just recently has a slight wound on the trunk so selling for a lower price it does grow just fine and seems to be healing. Leaves slightly tinted from cold temps had to move everything indoors last week, 45° nights triggered me haha.
Yellow $50
Vexator $75
Grafted Polpa rosea $90
Grafted dasyblasta $30
Shipping is usually $10-15 depending your location.

Polpa rosea

Vexator

It may have a slightly better chance to pass that trait on but really its luck of the draw with seeds.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: What should i do about this jabo?
« on: July 17, 2024, 06:40:25 PM »
If the stress came from a dry pot I would submerge the pot underwater over night then re pot. If it's just from a hot shipping box I wouldnt worry to much about anything but watering it and or re potting.

Just realized I never responded lol. Heres foliage on my tree and fruit from it the fruit can get to a reddish color when you leave them on the tree but the inside is always orange. I would assume if your fruit didnt get at all red/purple on the inside its tropical apricot.
