Orange jackfruit from Paul zink’s farm in Costa Rica
« on: May 08, 2019, 03:41:28 AM »
Ok does anyone know what variety of jackfruit this is?  Or better yet does anyone have this tree?   I saw this video on your tube and I pretty much am gonna make it my quest to grow this.  All the guys visiting Paul’s farm were raving about this saying it was the best jackfruit they’d ever had.     So naturally I need it

With 3 acres of prime real estate for growing tropicals... why not create my own garden of eden?? Work in progress

Yeah I saw that video when it first came out and got interested in getting this variety straight away. I hope someone here knows what it is.

Hello, Paul's jackfruit which is orange in color is known here simply as red Jackfruit (Jacka in spanish pronounced as "Yaka").  Typically a bit firmer than the yellow variety.

Could be any of many orange fleshed jacks. If it had really big fruit it could be called Zink's Mammoth.

I'm pretty sure this Jackfruit is from Zills Costa Rica nursery.
If you're serious about tracking it down you could contact Zink or Zill ( only a google search away)
It looks like an amazing Jack
Good luck!
