Native soils should already have if active microbes are already present.
I use this fertilizer that also has beneficial bacteria.

Additional compost on top of the soil surface will inoculate beneficial fungi.
Actually I totally agree, you can use any fungi on small rotten wood around when you plant you trees

A. Támarah and A. Rigidus are cross pollination types.
But for mostly artocarpus trees you need to have minimum 3 trees to have fruit full with flash, and better from different batch of seeds.
But best to have 4 plants.
If you have one tree - you will run to issue missing flash.
If you plant 3 plant them in triangular pattern, with one tree facing do dominant direction of wind, like this at list this one will cross pollinate other 2
Same with pattern for two trees in line with dominant wind direction

Hi
I use this one, but first I inoculate normally alpha alpha seeds when I sprouting them a little and after when I transplant plant to soil I put my sprouted alpha alpha seeds under plant soil like this they try to sprout true plant root ball carrying all mircozzae and spreading to all roots, also you can inoculate white clove seeds if plant already in ground, and spread them around trunk area, topping with some compost or mulch.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Garcinia dulcís varieties
« on: April 26, 2024, 09:05:28 AM »
I don’t have photos, my hard drive don’t make it.
All this garcinia dulcís I seen in Borneo, during my trip.
Now I just trying to get some seeds, but I find direction for sweet one, the problem in Indonesia they cultivated all of them for different use, the sour they use for cooking and to mix to curry and tamarind paste, also as lemon in salad, souses for rice. Sweet out of hand and deserts

Also during this trip I realize what they have 4 different varieties of garcinia prainiana/ cherapu, and they are all different in flavor, color of flash and one has really translucent flash.
But now when you outside of Indonesia and you trying to deal with persons who try just to sell you plant material and they  are don’t care what you are getting, it’s really difficult to get what you want because it’s a lot of fraud and scams, and all and everything just about moneys. When last time I visit Indonesia, I was not think I will move to panama and start my project, I was only doing job with bees and do research on meliponas.
Only solution grab seeds when you in place. Maybe some one from Borneo can help. I want some cherapu seeds with translucent flash))))¿.

Here on place the  person from who I get some help and person who knows what he talking about are Peter from Finca la isla.

Also it’s almost no way to find good fruit plants in panama or exotic ones, even local fruits, no one grow, except mango, citrus, rambutan, chupa-chupa, coco, pipa, soursop, papaya, bananas, plantain, maracuja, this all what they grow.
They have plant list what authorized for import but it’s not updated since 1988
Any way if you want to do something you just need to smuggle in different ways

In panama if you importing true delivery service like RNB, or other ones, what don’t go true to custom, and they import from US it’s no problem, problem when you try to get something outside you need to get custom agent to deal with it, who will pay under the table otherwise they will hold you package in hot room for one month, even with all certificates

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Garcinia dulcís varieties
« on: April 25, 2024, 10:13:02 AM »
Hi everyone
I want to ask if some one familiar with garcinia dulcis?
So I tried 3 different garcinia dulcis 1) is really sweet, fruit is round, almost perfect round, looks like Russell’s sweet.
2) fruit is oval, sweet to sour, more sweet than sour, tree was hermi, but looks same as first.
3) fruit with nipple looks like canistel, more sour than sweet, or sour.
Did I am right if they are all dulcis
