Citrus Buy, Sell, & Trade / Re: Variegated minneola tangelo seeds
« on: March 10, 2025, 05:28:07 PM »
Can't catch a brake  ::).. the only reason I'm asking for seeds or cuttings is because this citrus is only available in the US and one would need an export permit to send it to Europe.

It doesn't necessarily be seeds, if someone have tree or cuttings they will do just fine.

quite pricey and in China, but maybe it's of interest to someone

https://www.hardtofindtrees.com/product/seedless-honey-crisp-kumquat-%e6%97%a0%e6%a0%b8%e8%84%86%e8%9c%9c%e9%87%91%e6%a1%94/

I tried ordering from this website, and the seller wont send to EU, I suspect he doesnt deal with customs declarations. But I saw some people ordered from this website somewhere on reddit and order came (I think order was from US).

Hello friend, I come from China. This variety is the third generation of the Crispy honey kumquat from Guangxi Province, China. Its advantage is that the fruit is relatively large, high sweetness and no sour taste. The seeds of this variety are very small or almost seedless, and here they are propagated by grafting.

Hey ChangYun Nursery, is it possible to send scions (cuttings) or a mature tree (or seeds if you find any) to Europe. I am looking for this kumquat variety for ages with zero success yet. Thanks

Does anyone have variegated minneola tangelo seeds to share (buy) and ship them to Europe. I would like to experiment a little and see if they will grow all albino or there will be some green seedlings as well.

What is honey crisp kumquat?
Is it a knock off of crispy honey kumquat?

Both of these search terms gets you the same results, don't blame me, blame the people who call it different names

Hello to all forum members, I'm in search of Honey crisp kumquat (preferably seeds) because of dealing with customs etc. I know this kumquat is seedless, but I have also seen that people do find seeds in fruit (not much but none the less). Any forum member here from China or someone who can help me regarding this topic? Thanks in advance. I live in EU btw

In Europe you can't because there isn't one. Only know about the taste and hardiness from what I've read - ordinary lemon taste but cold hardy to -8 °C. In my micro-location, it goes right about there.

Ok guys thanks for the explanation, now the question is does anyone have some seeds because I am willing to buy. The only thing is I am located in EU and this lemon originates from the USA, but for the seeds that won't pose a problem.

Hello, I am wondering does this lemon comes true to type from seeds? And if so, I would like to acquire some seeds from anyone who grows it. Thanks

Don't know either, but I think I saw somewhere on eBay guy selling scions but it was long time ago. It will have to wait a week or two anyway because I cant order online anything right now - some hacker got my credit card info (dont know how) and I must wait till my bank issues me a new card for online ordering.

Guys thanks for your help I really appreciate it, out of these mentioned fruits I will definitely search for strawberry guava and white sapote seeds. I will research a little more about sapodilla as well. As for pink guava it really looks great in your greenhouse but unfortunately greenhouse is not an option, at least for me.

SeaWalnut - you grow pink guava outdoors in ground or in pot?
johnb51 - no I have never eaten white sapote, but I have read it's fantastic, don't know its fruiting time but will search for seeds
