Mangosteen seeds turning black and gooey

I am trying to germinate mangosteen seeds. First I let them soak for 24h then I used paper towel method but my seeds are turning black and gooey. Is it too late to save them or they are gone for good?

I dont know maybe they are irradiated, but I was hoping there is a way to save them.
