Mangoes and Mycorrhizae
« on: June 01, 2024, 01:02:28 PM »
Hello friends. I'm looking to inoculate the roots of my mango trees with mycorrhizae (beneficial fungi that form a symbiotic relationship with the root system). From what I've read, many fungi are species specific in regards to which plants they will work with. Does anybody know a commercially available product known to work on mangos? Thanks,
Easy

Hi
I use this one, but first I inoculate normally alpha alpha seeds when I sprouting them a little and after when I transplant plant to soil I put my sprouted alpha alpha seeds under plant soil like this they try to sprout true plant root ball carrying all mircozzae and spreading to all roots, also you can inoculate white clove seeds if plant already in ground, and spread them around trunk area, topping with some compost or mulch.

Native soils should already have if active microbes are already present.
I use this fertilizer that also has beneficial bacteria.

Additional compost on top of the soil surface will inoculate beneficial fungi.

Hey! You might want to check out products like :o "Mycorrhizae Applications" or "Root Grow" that are specifically designed to work with mango trees. They're commercially available and should suit your needs for inoculating your mango tree roots with mycorrhizae. Good luck with your mango trees!
