« on: December 28, 2024, 07:25:35 PM »

It’s real.

A friend said it didn’t taste good.

It's a real fruit, but no way of knowing if that particular seller is legit.

The pictures are not the sellers original plant, reverse image search and you'll see them on different websites.

I was in Ho Chi Minh City September 2023 and found a nursery that sold these red pommelo trees. I couldn't get them to sell me any seeds, didn't want to try to smuggle cuttings lol

I found its name.
It came out in 2015 in Việt Nam.
Cut and search “bưởi Tiến Vua”  .

People are growing it around here.
I don’t know if the peel get red from the cool weather here.

Good work finding the name. There are a few gardening channels I watch with English captions on.

using your search term I found this video where the grower covers the fruit in black bags and says it turns the fruit more red.

I’ve used same technique on red skin atemoya.
I covered the fruits with black plastic bags at early stage to reduce green chlorophyll and remove near maturity to increase red intensity.
