What is it- greening?
« on: February 28, 2017, 08:43:10 AM »
I like  a lot grapefruits from USA, they are much tastier than those coming from Israel or Italy, but today have seen very strange  fruits with a lot of uneven green coloration. Is it possible, that they are affected by greening?

Photos of greening fruit I've seen show half of the individual fruit is smaller or less developed than the other half of the sphere, like a lopsided ball.

I agree with Citradia, that doesn't look like greening. That is just a lingering of the green color of fruit before it turned orange. Some green satsumas are supposed to be as ripe as they can get but I've never experienced that. That little bit of green pigment in the skin is nothing to worry about from all I've ever heard. Tom

Not greening (HLB).
