My college campus in nola has a mango tree growing that survived a 20f freeze last year with no damage and no cover. The tree is in a blocked off area behind a brick wall so that could have protected it from harsh winds. But it's open to the elements on the top. I asked around but no response. I've seen flowers on the tree but no fruit. About 7ft tall. Any mango varieties that can survive harsh freezes that this could be?

Temps have dropped below 40F so I have moved all my smaller tropicals inside. They've been inside for a day and my yellow jabo is getting some serious discoloring. It's 74F in my house. Is this cold damage, or something else?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Cempejack cold tolerance and care questions
« on: November 30, 2021, 04:53:55 PM »
I have the opportunity to buy a Cempejack from a local nursery. It's a Artocarpus Heterophyllus x Integer Hybrid. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this tree and can provide some tips for care and fruiting. As well as the cold tolerance on the tree. I'm picking it up in the spring as they're starting to go dormant. I'd like to grow it in ground considering how big the fruit gets, but if it'll fruit in pots that'd be good aswell. This person also sells camu camu but they're way out of my budget  ;D
