I'm in 8a.
Kumquats will grow here with a little winter protection on the especially cold nights.

Persimmons, both asians and american and the Texas persimmon.
Ugni Molinae ( not tropical but related to guava and feijoa).
And the pawpaws are the #1 option to have.

Banana as a long term project. They might get cut down by your winter but the roots will survive especially if covered w hay or something like that. You banana mat will grow each year and you might get a banana bunch in four years. If I lived where you are I would plant 3-4 banana roots close together (one foot apart) to form that banana mat (interlaced roots) quickly.

Even if you never get any fruit it will look highly decorative and unusual for your locale in the summer, when the roots come back to make stalks each year.
