New leaves of Mango Gomera are red

Mango Gomera is a very robust medium sized tree, with dome shaped crown, and stiff, thick, arching leaves. Flushes of new leaves are deep red-burgundy. It is able to flower up to 3 times a year. If it is too cold or wet, it will lose the inflorescences and flower again, about 2 months later, until the right season for fruit set is matched.

Fruits are yellow with pale dots and sometimes with a hint of pink. They are produced in groups, with a small to average size (250 g average), very good flavor, aromatic, with a high content in fibers.

Genetic analysis shows thant it is very closely related (not the same) to the Cuban Mango “Filipino”, and to the Floridan Mango “Turpentine”. It is possibly the same of the Cuban “Manga Blanca”.

Are the seedlings "true to type"? How much cold do they tolerate? I could only find notes like "very cold hardy". But when seen from the Canary Islands cold is another thing as here in northern Germany...  Do you have any experience or know what kind of cold hardy they are supposed to be?
I do not know nothing about mango cultivation, are they autofertile or do they need a 2nd tree for pollination?
How do you plan to cultivate them?
Thank you!

Mango self fertile, not possible outdoors in anything lower then zone 9a, even that is a stretch without microclimate and winter protection.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

They will take cold weather, not freezing temperatures. Where other mangoes stop growing this mango continues to grow. Resists well to drought and calcareous soil. Probably hardier than turpentine
I grow them in pots in greenhouse.

Here is a picture with frozen bites, recovering.

Fruits are very sweet and tasty, but full of fiber.
Seedlings are fast growers.

Really impressed with the growth rate of Gomera
Gomera-1 : 20-40% are zygotic, 5% tetraploids
25 cm high in 3 weeks after sprouting at 17-23°C
