Might be Philipines with bullala fruit. They used to be pulasan I think before their identity crisis. By the way for those interested in knowing if the crazy start to the dry season in Cairns ended well yes it did. A fairly bi area got over 800mm (32 inches) in 8 days a crazy rainbow at my place heralded a return to weather sanity.
Bulala is sometimes called Nephelium phillipinensis, although it seems that is not a valid name. They are very close genetically to pulasan because they are graft compatible. The bulala can be used as a rootstock. It's actually a pretty good fruit. I really like them, though not in same elite class as pulasan. I have fruiting bulala trees right now.
