West Coast has all the fun!

John, it's all in your hands! Try to organize a party once, maybe you will get surprised. So many growers here in So Fla, high time for us to start getting together and get to know each other.

Good luck guys, and thanks a lot for the invite 🙏
Our mangoes are done, apart from late season ones that aren't ready yet  :o   (lots of mango videos still coming but they were all shot in June-July  8) )
I wish I could send you some peach cobblers to try at the party, they were the star of the season for me. Maybe next year if we have a good season again 🤞🏽

Are you bringing blueberries just because you think you need to show proof of Vaccinium?
Eugenia luschnathiana = CURUIRI.    Talisia esculenta = PITOMBA
I do not recommend people deal with Fruit Lovers, Prisca Mariya or Fernando Malpartida

I refuse to do that ever.

In truth I'm not sure if they're done for the year. Still some berries on the plants but not ripening, I'll check tomorrow.

Brad, I'm glad to hear you got the Kaimana lychees. I still picked some Brewster for you guys today and will ask Nate to bring it down. Can you ask anyone at your party that tastes the two to provide a taste test feedback on which one tastes better.
Thanks.

Looks like I have some Elberta peaches to bring and a couple Ice cream beans maybe some Passion fruit. I also have a box of Mexican Kent mangos that are ripe. Was hoping to bring some black and white sapotes, but they will need a few more days before ripe.
Happy to pitch in for the cost of the Hawaiian lychees. Hasta mañana.

What’s the big yellow melon? Also how did you manage to grow everything without deer/disease/soil/weather/people/chipmunks/squirrels/etc. destroying everything?! Nice fruit haul is an understatement.

Tom, I forgot what the yellow skin melon is called but its red inside like a regular watermelon.

Theres not a lot of pests here, we have a deer fence and theres minor bird losses but thats manageable with nets and bags and painted rocks.  Its really hot and dry here so theres not a lot of bugs or diseases.  Things just grow if you wanter it here.

Can someone bring some limes?  A bag of ice would be good too if anyone wants to volunteer for either of those.  Post here if you can get either of those so everyone doesnt get limes and ice.  1 bag of ice and about 15 or 20 limes would be good for making sugarcane drinks.  I got a nice bottle of tequila and some beer too.  If anyone wants wine bring it, I dont drink wine so you're on your own for that.

Hey Brad,

I’m about to chop and wash the sugarcanes. I will add a lot of Calamansi juice to prevent oxidation or else the juice will turn brown. I’ll bring whatever leftover Calamansi I have after juicing.

I won’t be making salted pepper shrimp because it’s going to be too hot and I’m going to be cleaning and juicing for the next several hours.

Per Aug 5th press release, HLB was detected in a lemon and orange tree in a residential Oceanside neighborhood.  This detection triggers a 5-mile HLB quarantine to restrict the movement of citrus, a mandatory survey, and treatment of all citrus trees within 250-meters of the site.

Although my property is not within the quarantine zone, it is uncomfortably within a few miles.  Maybe I won't bring citrus fruit after all.

I'll bring a bowl of Brewsters, most of the other fruit is still not ripe. These are picked standing on the top of a ladder with a fruit picker, maybe 20 feet up. If anyone wants me to bring miracle fruit let me know.

Hey Mark, if you have any ripe miracle fruit, please bring a few, I’m sure some people will really enjoy it. Don’t go out of your way or make a drive to pick any up though. Thanks!

Simon, my tree is loaded with fruit, I've been eating several at a time so I can use the seeds and not waste the fruit. I may have some Inca plums and Supreme dapple dandy fruit to bring also.
