‘Peluche’ Loquat cuttings for sale
« on: December 01, 2021, 04:21:40 PM »
I have 3 X-large and 1 small Peluche Loquat cuttings for sale. The large ones can easily be cut into 4+ scions. These are pretty thick and are meant to graft onto mature trees or larger seedlings. Selling all together, $60 shipped.

Gonzo,
Those cuttings look huge and nice for grafting.
Have you had any fruits on your tree, and if you did were the fruits very large and how was the taste?
I liked to know if your source was Adam.

Nate, yes Mike has good stuff. I got mine from John here in SoCal, it gets large fruits which tastes very good and he said it was sourced from Adam (FFF). You should remove most of the fruits, maybe let only 1 fruit hang or it will slow down the growth of your graft. I like to try and get 2 different sources for most of my loquats for comparison of fruits. Most of my loquat grafted branches (70 var) have flowers and I only let them hold fruit on the second year unless I have more than one branch grafted. The Tanaka graft I have still has not fruited and its been over 2yrs, grows as slow as Avri.

I got these from a forum member I believe his name was ‘Viking Guy’. I have not tasted the fruit yet but my tree is full of flowers!

Ok, thanks. I know Adam. I got some of his Peluche scions. You will like the fruits, they get large. Make sure you let it get fully ripe for the best sweetness.

Viking guy is Adam Karsten and a reputable seller of Loquat and scions. If you are looking to buy, I would wait for Kaz to offer his selection of goto Adams website at AkmeGardens.com
Viking guy and Akmegardnes "Peluche" tree came from the same tree that was an effort to save a mother tree. Quite an interesting story!
