The fruits are very tasty to be consumed in natura, because its flavor resembles the taste of Acerola, but sweeter and more pleasant. The fruit has an excellent amount of pulp and this pulp can be used in the form of juices, ice creams and jellies. The tree is small and can be grown as an ornamental or to attract bees because it gives an excellent amount of flowers or even to attract birds and wild animals.

Talisia esculenta can grow to a height of 9–20 m, with a trunk up to 45 cm diameter. The leaves are arranged alternately, pinnately compound, with 5–11 leaflets, the leaflets 5–12 cm long and 2–5 cm broad. The fruit is said to taste great and eaten out of hand.

So you're likely looking at 4+ years until fruiting because "after planting" to me at least, implies after planting seedlings, not seeds
