Fruit trees you are growing that you have not tried

Noni is on my list too, has been fruiting for years; can't bring myself to try even a nibble. It smells so bad. Everything else, try as soon as possible. lol. Can't wait to hear about your experience.

Also growing a few cultivars of mango, and mango and Jakfruit seedlings that have yet to try.

It's really that bad smelling?

Are yours in ground? I'm keeping mine in pots for now because I hear they can be invasive.

I'm very sensitive to smell, and usually know a lot about how something will taste from smell, with exceptions. As such, it is hard for me to force myself to try something that smells off. Have picked fruit in all kinds of stage of ripeness, and underripe is not as bad (smell). Ripe fruits smell like bad cheese and funky feet mixed together.

Our noni was in a 15+ gallon wood pot, and then grew through it/busted it to pieces and now is in ground. It's gone crazy. The area where it is planted is grown over, so the fruits just disappear into the bush or drop into the lawn. Critters may be eating them, cuz I don't see too many in the grass anymore.

I've heard that locals use noni leaves more than the fruit. They can be used to cook with, steaming rice and meats within wrapped leaves. Used like cooking in banana leaves. Have been meaning to try.

Probably 80%+ of what I am growing I've never tried the fruit.  I started with only citrus for years and it was successful enough I started with other sub&tropicals more recently.  Many things just started flowering but only a few have held fruit so far.  It is fun to lose track of what I have and later discover it fruiting for the first time

This is me haha. Citrus, peaches and peppers I get tons of. Everything else is only 1-2 years old so I'm playing the waiting game.

roblack- put some of the fruit in a sterile sealed jar clear glass jar where it gets direct sun for a couple weeks until they turn black and have a juice, then drink it when the juice smells good, only a small amount should do-

I had tried everything in my yard before buying except Rollinia. I got that tree on a visit to a mango grower and the tree was so nicely formed and the others he had were train wrecks I got it just on its reputed taste.
