Gate open at 8:00, line forms much earlier.

At last years sale, the club brought in approx 3,100 trees and returned 5 unsold.
They say we will have more trees this year.

First picture is diaprepes root weevil. Likely culprit of the leaf eating.

Was thinking that this year I was finally going to get a decent amount of fruit from my sweetheart.
While in the yard yesterday I noticed that some of the fruits were starting to show color.
Started looking and discovered that a lot of them have some splitting going on.
Not from over watering, because we have been pretty dry and I don't go out of my way to water.
Would under watering cause fruit splitting, the trees are not showing any signs of stress.

Birds.
Usual suspects at my place would be the cardinals, catbirds and maybe mockingbirds.
They also enjoy the grimichama and jabos in addition to the suriname cherries.

More like 7 hours than 7 days.
Tomorrow morning low is showing 40, Wednesday morning low is showing 36 in Melbourne, coastal central Florida. I will still be wearing flip flops.
Wind is blowing right now at 26, but supposed to start slacking.

A week from now, lows are supposed to be at 59.

All this advice is still relevant, but you guys realize in a few days this post will be a year old. It can happen when people see January and still haven't adjusted to the year switching over

Or a spammer revives a year old thread, posts a sentence or two of some what relevant info, then segues into how the workers are poorly paid and posts a link to a app that will pay you to play games.

If you can wait until April, the Brevard Tropical Fruit club is planning to have their tree sale this year (at the Melbourne Auditorium).
In years past, some of the peach trees offered have been:
Florida Grande
Florida Prince
Tropic Beauty
Tropic Snow
and Tropic Sweet

Hello,

I discovered a black spot on my 2.5 years old mango seedling:( Is this some kind of disease? Should I do something? Thank you for your help!

When zoomed in on it, it kind of looks like some type of soft scale.

A board dedicated to forum issues would also be of benefit.

There is a sticky thread for that here:

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: lOOKING TO BUY MALLIKA MANGOES
« on: August 02, 2020, 07:17:52 PM »
Indian stores in Los Angeles are selling Mallika mangoes grown in Mexico. Amazing taste. Check your local Indian stores, hopefully they have some. Almost end of the season though.

The sticker on the mangoes says they are Ataulfo.

Wouldn't hurt to stop by or call Rockledge Gardens, from their website:

"What’s a Central Florida yard without a citrus tree? Nothing beats the taste of fresh citrus, and Rockledge Gardens carries a large assortment, including many varieties of oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons, and limes. We also have a great selection of tropical fruits like mangoes, avocados, bananas, guavas, and tropical cherries, as well as varieties of blueberries, grapes, peaches, and apples — all tried and true for growing in Brevard County!"

It has been a year or so since I stopped in there, but they had a nice sized area for fruit trees (not just bananas, citrus and mangoes either). Not sure how often they get trees in.

Have you checked with Rockledge Gardens?

My dog kept eyeballing the top of one of the bushes this morning, after looking around I spotted this little guy. The dog must have run off momma when I let him out this morning.
