@ Zands-It's really funny...you have the fantastic weather and I have the soil! We should combine the 2 and see what's happen's! Don't you think?

About 80% of the land is great to grow any thing...But, when you reach the border of the property..the soil is very hard and rocky...Only figs, guavas, strawberry guava..etc can handle the soil. This is were I want to plant some Imbes and sapodillas...I will have to wear my armadillo outfit for this occasion

@Harry-I really like the temp of the water...it cools you down...those black rock's at the beach, get so hot that you a fry an egg! But, I luv those rocks...you can get shell fish and even octopus at low tide at Ribeira brava!

@Mike-Don't talk about those devil's...I have seen what they do to people   I will see if I can find the vid of the Hammerhead shark...will post for everyone to see on the ''off topics''!
I never swimmed in the sea before...since I don't know how to swim , hopefully i will learn some day!The water is very safe...the sharks don't stay..they just pass through!!!

@Forumfool-Of course I made a vid's But, too shy to share I will see what I can do about that!!!

The papaya is from tissue culture that I bought about 2 years ago. Don't know what variety it is...flavor is  mild and not very sweet!

Hi Steven, bland flavor of papaya is often due to cooler climate. Suggest planting against a cement wall for reflected heat if possible, and also using black plastic mulch to warm the soil in winter.

That's an excellent idea   I got about 22 ft space near a cement wall...I will definitely plant some papaya's this year.

The Only problem with some of my papaya's, they have no powdery mildew resistance. It's a real nuisance since my rain is in winter...sulphur does help to control it.
