part one is here: The Fruit Hunters - Part 1 - The Evolution of Desire
your link marked as part 2

Thats Sheehan at 2:14-2:18!

Nice. At least my 5 seconds got me a spot in the credits!

They edited what I said and I think it was taken from two different questions and combined into one.

I am there again a little after 6:55.

I noticed Noel in it as well while he was posing for a pic under a jackfruit tree.

I compared this with the movie's trailer and there are some discrepancies. So yeah, they used parts of the movie but added some of their own narration.

For some reason I imagined Sheehan to be about 75 yrs old with a white beard.  The video evidence did not support my image.

Only about a 50 year difference and an attempt at a black beard. So anyone else assume I was 75?

Red Durian should get out of age predicting business. He misjudged me just as badly :)

First of all thank you Patrick, for fixing link, I must admit a good friend of mine first posted this link on the 'Cloudforest Cafe' and after watching first video I knew I needed to post it here. Because I knew alot of the posters here were probably in it, I did notice Noel because of his article in CRFG mag. also good to be able to put faces to names. Adam wow I missed the stacking on the first watch, I was wondering how after all the years of trying to get this white mango grafted that they though it was going to work this time! ::) :o

These two short videos were produced by the CBC which is Canada's public TV channel. They used scenes from the original filming of the movie but the actual FH movie should have some additional content. They did a great job for sure!

What is this white mango they keep talking about? I guess it's a different mangifera species since it took them 15-20 years to figure out what is a compatible rootstock??
I just got to taste Lalee jewo for first time. Very nice. I will make a separate posting about it soon.

I think they are referring to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangifera_caesia as the white "wild mango".

I look forward to your lalee jewo post. Do you have a grafted tree? Or was it from someone else's tree you got to try the fruit from?

Edit: I just finished watching the movie and I saw that they have me speaking for a few more seconds in the end as well. I can't wait to be able to buy a copy.

OK thanks for the info. Didn't know caesia was white. I think most of the movie is there, as both parts are 45 minutes each, and the whole movie is 90 minutes. If they cut anything out it must be very short. It would be nice to see it though without all the interruptions for commercials. Will post about lalee jewo now.
