I picked up one of these towards the end of last year. The nursery's description stated the fruit are unusual and glossy black. Does anybody have any experience with this variety? Im intrigued to see what these fruits actually look like.

Hmmm. This may be a kurogaki or Huk Gam which I have been looking for. What nursery did you purchase it from?

Picked one up from OGW too. Really excited to see what it fruits like. All the internet searches for black persimmon only came back with chinese varieties.

One Green World. Those trees are pretty expensive $49.95 plus shipping. I want one but the last few shipments I got from them were pretty raggedy. That and I have 11 Persimmons already.

The nursery finally updated the listing photo so I'm assuming this is what the fruit will look like

Mine was in the ground this winter. I'm hoping it survived and will  keep growing.
