So to be clear, Shixia means longan? And according to the descriptions you mentioned, appearance differs depending on the variety.

Does anyone have any opinions on this variety of longan? Or any information you have about it?

That’s awesome!  ;D let us know how it tastes

Did you pollinate or is it self pollinating?

Thanks you guys for the feedback.

Was considering to grow it, based on what kappss mentioned, they don’t tolerate the cold well.

Would still wanna give em a shot just for the foliage and change from green outter skin to red.

For walnut, not sure about growing it in my backyard since those can get really large

Thanks for the response Mark.
Also, did you plant in full sun, partial shade, in between plants?

I have like a couple seedlings growing out, one in a 5 gallon as well.

Thank you all for your feedback and support.

The suggestion about sunlight it spot on. Once I put my plant in full sunlight, it spontaneously flowered. First shed all of its leaves then put out a new flush of leaves, followed by flowering.

@Kaz
Yours has a nicer set of blooms than mine did. Is yours of a specific variety? Bought mine at Champa at the time.

Below you’ll see the picture of my Barbados tree in a 15 gallon.

I have a Barbados Cherry Tree bought as a 3 gallon and have had it for 1 year now.

It flowered this year and I thought it would produce fruit, but it didn’t. It’s flowering again this month,, but not expecting it to fruit.

Does this tree require a pollinator? Any tips or advice?

I have Hasya sapodilla. Mine isn’t as big as Crush53, but it does put out flowers like in the post. They dry up on their own, not sure if it’s due to location(full sun). For Hasya do I need to hand pollinate?

@ K- Rimes:

For sure I’ll hit you up for more details, appreciate the response!

@Kent01:

I’m not too certain, but it looks probable that it may not be the same fruit I’m referring to.

It’s not my lemon tree the lemons were gifted to me. I grow a different type in my backyard,  not sure what type it is though.

Here are the lemons that were gifted to me. The ones I posted earlier this morning:

These are two of the lemons in between a red pumelo:

Great, that’s awesome to know. Tried a glass of the lemon juice early in the morning. Not as sour as the one I grow in my backyard. Just pleasant. I also compared the juices to a ponderosa lemon. The ponderosa lemon leaves like a grapefruit aftertaste, not sure if it’s my tastebuds or if it was a poor tasting ponderosa.

I’ll post more pictures of this lemon layer today just to share since the shapes vary.

Hey y’all!

I know this is a lemon, but the specific type I’m not sure of.

Wondering if it’s any good.

And yes that’s an onion for size comparison  ;D

And here is what the bottom looks like:
