Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: grumichama flowering early this year
« on: February 11, 2022, 10:58:26 PM »
I'm still waiting for mine to flower I haven't checked since last month.

I have in a location where not much sun hits it. Wondering if this can be a factor.

Is yours planted in the ground or in container?

Hi TFF,

Not sure when the right time to ask is, but if anyone is willing to sell some starfruit cuttings or seeds to me, that would be awesome.

I'm interested in Kari, B-10, and Sri Kembangan.

Open to others as well, just that those mentioned above are supposed to be pretty good.

Thanks in advance!

Despite the disclaimer noted on the post, I took the chance and ordered some Nelita's.

Gotta say, nice packaging Kevin! Very professional handling and prompt shipment.

You can tell Kevin puts the extra effort to make sure plants arrive safe and sound.

Thank you Kevin!

Why is that? Is it due to the rate at which its growing?

@Goyo626 & Johnny Eat Fruit:

Are your ST mango trees seedling grown or grafted?

All the one's I have are in 1 gallon right now. I have only one in a 5 gallon.

How sensitive are mangoes when it comes to transplanting them from container to soil?

When would planting in the ground be best for seedling grown mangoes?

Would you prep the soil with anything or just go ahead an plant?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Potting Mix/Dirt
« on: August 12, 2021, 01:30:53 PM »
Hi All,

Is there a recommended potting mix that you use for your plants or would you advise to just create your own?

Also, is there a recommended place where one could go to buy natural dirt (no perlite, moss, etc.).

Thanks.

Wow that's awesome!!

Congrats on the the first fruits of your trees.

Considering you have G. chickeneggulis tree that set out that beautiful white fruit, this must be an eggs-tra special day for you (please excuse the poor pun).

Did you grow your trees from seed and also was there any particular care you gave them?
