I know this is a lemon, but the specific type I’m not sure of.

Wondering if it’s any good.

That is a rootstock tree that over grew your named variety on that tree. It is called macrophylla, good rootstock for lemons mainly in CA. Fruits are typically 1 lb or larger.

Great, that’s awesome to know. Tried a glass of the lemon juice early in the morning. Not as sour as the one I grow in my backyard. Just pleasant. I also compared the juices to a ponderosa lemon. The ponderosa lemon leaves like a grapefruit aftertaste, not sure if it’s my tastebuds or if it was a poor tasting ponderosa.

I’ll post more pictures of this lemon layer today just to share since the shapes vary.

Is your lemon fruit large like a grapefruit? Also, if you take some photos of the leaves then I can confirm 100% that it is a macrphylla or not.

It’s not my lemon tree the lemons were gifted to me. I grow a different type in my backyard,  not sure what type it is though.

yup, that is a rootstock fruit called macrophylla also called Alemow.

These have a unique bumpy texture to it, I thought I found something unique 

Yeah your citrus varies in size but nonetheless are big.

Ok. Yeah, I like the bumpy fruit surface, kind of neat, much more bumps than the ponderosa lemon. The only other fruits I have seen with similar or more bumps are the Kaffir lime and Bizzarria lemon.
